MICHIGAN ST (5 - 3) at PURDUE (2 - 6): Play On Michigan State -5 3* 11/5/2005 11:00:00 AM

On paper this is a pretty even match-up so why lay the points on the road with Michigan State? Motivation and a lack of Purdue pass defense. Purdue comes home after two tough losses on the road to Wisconsin and Penn State. They are in a similar situation to where Michigan State was two weeks ago vs. Northwestern. It will be very tough for Purdue to bounce back from that road trip with their season basically over as they face this Michigan State team that will be looking to go bowling with a win. Michigan State had a very tough stretch vs Michigan, Ohio State and Northwestern before getting a break vs. Indiana last week. They look to have recovered from that tough stretch and I look for this squad to finish out very strong. Purdue will not be able to stop the Michigan State passing game and they will move the ball in the air while Purdue has been mistake prone their last three games with 11 turnovers. PURDUE is 0-6 ATS (-6.6 Units) vs. good offensive teams - scoring 31 or more points/game over the last 2 seasons. The average score was PURDUE 27.5, OPPONENT 36.5. Play On Michigan State -5 to win 1 unit.
